Carnival (february): Procession through the town, all participants wear fancy dress, with animation events for the children in the afternoon and adults in the evening

 

Festimage (april): Calella Festival of Image. Competitions, Exhibitions, Workshops of photographs and short films, during all the month of April.

Roses of Catalunya(may): Exhibition and Competition of Roses

Half Challenge Barcelona Maresme (may): 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.20 km running.

Aplec de la Sardana (june): This event began in 1926 and is held during the first weekend of June. Every year “sardanistes” (the people who perform Catalunya’s local dance) from all over the province meet in Calella to take part in this event.

Demonstration of Sardanas: Every Sunday from June to September the auditions are held to test the ability of the “sardanistes”.

The Screamin’ Festival (June): Rock & Roll holidays in the sun. The best DJ’s perform in different bars, clubs, the beach, and the concert hall in the Llobet Factory.

Calella Renaissance (june): Craft Fair with street activities, music, gastronomic tastings and shows for young children.

Festival of the Patron Saints: Sant Quirze and Santa Julita of Calella: (16th June) : Around the town are held various street parties with food, animation and music.

Activities for Infants On the Sea front Promenade: (Every Friday in July and August ) Puppets, Clowns, Theatre etc.

August Festival (night of 14th August): Organized on the beach, festival with live concerts

Catalunya International Folk Meeting (first fortnight of September): Cultural interchange days of traditional arts. Every year various groups, from all over the World, are invited and participate in shows all around the town.

Calella & l’Alt Maresme Fair (2nd half of September): Every year on the sea front promenade there is a Fair held to celebrate the Festival of “la Minerva” where artisans and commercial traders from Catalunya and other countries are invited to exhibit their wares. There are also other animated activities for children, young people and adults and the annual appearance of the “giants”.
